Q: Who receives 911 calls I make with the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX service?
A:

Lingo routes your 911 calls to the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) that corresponds to your registered service location. Each phone on the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX service has a registered service location.

Q: Can I still call 911 with the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX service if I take my business-class phone to another location?
A:

Yes, but if you don't update your registered service location the 911 call will still go to the PSAP that serves your registered service location and not where you are when you make the call. To ensure your 911 calls go to the correct PSAP, you must update your registered service location when you take your business-class phone to another location.

Q: Can I make 911 emergency calls?
A:

Yes. We offer E911 service where available on ImpactConnect Hosted PBX. When you sign up for ImpactConnect Hosted PBX we will verify your Emergency Address. When a 911 call is placed, the address and name we have on file for that phone number will be sent to the 911 Operator. 911 emergency calls are routed to your local 911 Emergency Services Operator. 



Note: If you move or change your phone's location, please contact Customer Support to update your 911 Address.

Q: Should I test 911 emergency service after setup?
A:

No, it is not necessary to test E911 dialing following installation.
