Q: Does ImpactConnect Hosted PBX offer distinctive ring tones?
A:

Yes, Priority Alert (Distinctive Ring) can be configured to assign distinctive rings to specific callers or incoming calls categorized based on certain criteria. Click here to learn more about Priority Alert (Distinctive Ring).

Q: Can I change the music that is played while a caller is on hold with my business?
A:

Yes, we do offer several choices for hold music. Please contact Customer Support to change your hold music. Please note there is an extra charge to modify the hold music.

Q: Can I import a contact list to my ImpactConnect Hosted PBX contact list?
A:

Yes. To import a contact list, log into the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX Voice Portal and click on the Contacts tab at the top of the page. Then click the Import button and either select a file to import or import your contacts from Outlook, Google, or Apple vCard.

Q: Can I disable my Caller ID for all calls?
A:

Yes. You can set your service to have your Caller ID blocked on all outbound calls. Click here to learn more about Caller ID.

Q: Can I change my Caller ID?
A:

Yes you can change your Caller ID. Please contact customer support. Click here to learn more about Caller ID.

Q: What will appear on my Caller ID?
A:

The name you used to create your account with Lingo will be the name used for Caller ID. Once the account name is set up, Lingo can make a change but there is an extra fee for all changes. To make a change to your Caller ID, contact Customer Support. Click here to learn more about Caller ID.

Q: Can I block callers from calling me?
A:

Yes, you can establish answering rules for your ImpactConnect hosted PBX service that can block callers completely or based on answering rules that you define in the portal.



You can also configure lists that always allow or reject calls from certain callers based on criteria such as time frames and locations. Selective Call Acceptance always accepts calls from a configured list and Selective Call Rejection always rejects call from a configured list.  Click here to learn more.  

Q: Can I use my service while I travel?
A:

Yes. With ImpactConnect you can forward your calls to any location while you are away from your office or location. Or, if you are on an extended trip you can bring your desk phone with you and reconnect it to the internet. We also have an easy-to-use App for your smartphone or mobile device.

Q: I moved, will the service still work?
A:

Yes. As long as your new location has an active, high-speed internet connection your service will continue to work. Please remember to update your E911 Address with Lingo. Remember your telephone number is associated with your address on file in case of emergencies so that first responders can easily find you.

Q: How do I move my service to a new location?
A:

Moving ImpactConnect Hosted PBX is easy! As long as you have access to a broadband internet connection you can continue to use your service. This means that if you move, or simply go on vacation, you can take your phone with you. Just connect your phone to your broadband internet connection and start calling. Please remember to update your E911 Address with Lingo. Remember your telephone number is associated with your address on file in case of emergencies so that first responders can easily find you.

Q: What is a softphone?

A softphone is a piece of software that allows the user to make telephone calls over the internet via a computer.

Q: Do I really need all of the features that ImpactConnect Hosted PBX offers?

Q: Which phones support Gigabit Ethernet?
A:

Your phone system may support 1Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet or Gig-E) physical connections. The following phones support Gigabit Ethernet and are available at different pricing: VVX310, VVX410, VVX500 and VVX600. View all our available phone models here.

Q: How do I enable Do Not Disturb?
A:

From your ImpactConnect Polycom phone dial *78 to activate and *79 to deactivate.



In the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX portal, click on Add Rule. When the Do Not Disturb box is checked and the answering rule is in effect, calls will not ring at your phone and will go directly to voicemail. Click here for more information about Do Not Disturb.

Q: How do I enable Forward Always?
A:

You can enable Forward Always in the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX portal or by dialing the star codes on your phone. In the portal, click forward always and place a valid number in the box to have your calls always ring at the number you set.

Q: How do I enable Forward Busy?
A:

Unless you are on the phone, calls will ring at your phone, then they will go to the number you placed in the forward busy box or set by dialing *41 and the forwarding number. Q: How do I enable Forward No Answer?
A:

Calls will ring at your phone for a prescribed time, then go to the number you placed in the forward no answer box or set by dialing *42 and the forwarding number. Don't forget to click the forward no answer box. The Ring for XX Seconds timer decides how long the phone will ring before it is forwarded. Q: Can I use my company's ImpactConnect Hosted PBX service if I'm a teleworker?

Q: What is Simultaneous Ring?
A:

Simultaneous Ring allows you to have more than one phone ring at the same time. For example, your office phone, your home phone and your cell phone can all ring whenever you have an inbound call. In the ImpactConnect Hosted PBX portal in the Answering Rules section, place the phone numbers you wish to ring when you are called and check the simultaneous ring box. Yes, a Toll Free Number is a feature available to use with your ImpactConnect Hosted PBX service.

Q: What is Picktrieve?
A:

Picktrieve is an ImpactConnect Hosted PBX feature that allows users to pick up or retrieve a specific ringing phone or call in a hold state.
